Through the Tunnel

The story took place in summer at the beach.

The plot
Jerry and his mother where on a holiday at the beach. One morning his mom asked him if he was tired of the usual beach and if he would like to go somewhere else, he said no but he suggested to go and have a look at the rocks that where in a distance. When he went there he saw that it was a scoop of moving bluish green fringed with white and he then ran straight into the water and began to swim in the bay. Jerry saw some native boys on a loose scatter of rocks and he swam towards them. The native boys smiled and waved at him. The native boys started to jump into the water from the rocks which he also did. Then one native boy dived in the water and came out after a long time and then the rest followed. Jerry counted to see how long the boys will stay under water. Jerry realised that there must be a hole or a tunnel under but he could not see under because it was dark and when he goes under the water, salt water was painful in his eyes. When he went back to the villa he told his mother that he want swimming goggles and she bought them. He went back to the bay and swam and saw the tunnel and how things looked under. He then practiced to hold his breath which gave him a bleeding nose. He studied the entrance of the tunnel. Two days before they were to leave he practiced to hold his breath an was bleeding badly and was afraid of going through the tunnel but he later did even though he struggled to go through it.

The main character is a young boy called Jerry. He is an English boy. He was eleven years old. He was a good swimmer. He could hold his breath without strain for two minutes.
